Interactive VR tours for realtors

Technology moves at lightning speed, also in the realtor business. 

A few years ago, only pictures were enough to present a house for sale. Today, it’s a minimum to show pictures, videos, and 360° panoramas of a house. 

But we go even further, because tech moves on too. 

Our panoramas are interactive, and we are adding 360° 3D video and 180° 3D views to our skill set. 

What is it and why is this so important? A 360° 3D video is, what the name implies, a video in which you can look all around. The 180° 3D views are a 3 dimensional view of a photo. Remember the View Master? But then in a digital and professional way. Suppose you see a living room with a couch, coffee table, etc. With a headset (VR glasses) you’ll get a 180°/360° 3D view in such a way as if you are actually there. A real visit is almost not needed anymore. You’ll get much less bad visits, up to 40% less! Imagine your savings there. 

I already have a photographer, can he/she do this too?

Yes, but it’s quite difficult with a ‘standard’ DSLR camera, which they already own. A 360° photo can be made with a DSLR camera, but besides the fact that it is quite complex, it is also a lengthy workflow, and therefore pricy. The ‘stitching’ process (glue-ing all the pictures together into 1 360° photo) is very complex and often shows stitch lines in the view. A lot easier is purchasing a 360° camera. The newest technology a great picture quality! .And a good quality camera you can already buy starting at  about $ 400. Below are some links to camera’s. Very often an interactive 360° VR tour is compared with a Google Street View (GSV) panorama. You can see it in the name: ‘interactive’ means exactly that. It’s not a ‘standard’ panorama which we all know from GSV. 

Why is this needed when presenting a home for sale? Imagine, you have a 360° photo of the living room. When you click on the heating, you can see all the details of the boiler, floor heating, etc. You can, for example, add spoken words when someone is following your tour. You can add photo galleries, even 360 video’s, etc. It’s no problem to direct your potential client to a website, or, when they are seriously interested, even have a button they can click which calls a pre-set phone number. Real interactivity which engages prospects!
